Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa, Phuket

Lying on the sunset side of the Andaman Sea, on pristine Natai Beach, the 5-star Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa—a Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award winner—may be the perfect paradise escape.

About

Picture a private suite, with a private pool, on a remote beach, away from Phuket's loud nightlife scene. Aleenta Phuket feels ideal for a special romantic vacation, a mindful retreat, or as a family nest. The design vibe is cool, comprising low-rise, crisp white exteriors that wouldn’t be out of place in Ibiza. Our favorite places to spend extra Hotel Credits include the resort’s two chic restaurants and its award-winning spa, which offers an excellent natural detox program, as well as yoga retreats and private instructors. Named Thailand's Best Small Green Resort, we appreciate, too, that Aleenta seeks to give back to the idyllic environment, via conservation efforts, including providing funding for a nearby turtle sanctuary. Go see the turtles, but don’t touch!

Location

Naturally, the biggest draw of a trip here is Natai Beach itself. Its gorgeous sands stretch along the shore of the Andaman Sea, on Thailand’s west coast. Its colourful coral reefs are a natural wonder, its clear, warm waters are ideal for snorkeling and swimming. Mornings on this quiet beach, you might meet a fisherman or a wandering water buffalo. Some sophisticated dining spots have also begun to appear along its length. Baba Beach Club is the best among them, adding a cool splash of Phuket fun to the area, and serving an elaborate menu of Thai, Japanese and Western cuisine.
